Fostering Youth Independence hosted a Charlie Brown Holiday party (attended by dozens of foster youth and volunteer Allies) that celebrated local community spirit.
The event strengthened bonds and highlighted support for youth independence.
On Christmas Eve, a powerful winter storm swept through L.A.
County and prompted swift rescues that saved over 100 people, including four who were airlifted from an island on the Santa Clara River in Santa Clarita. Firefighters advised locals to avoid flooded areas.

On Dec. 25, 2012, Quentin Tarantino’s film Django Unchained debuted with parts shot at Melody Ranch in Placerita Canyon.
The site has hosted over 750 westerns since its founding in 1915 (when it was known as Monogram Movie Ranch).
