- ➤ Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger announced a food giveaway—hosted by the L.A. Food Bank—to help Santa Clarita Valley families in need that will be held today at Val Verde Park. SCVNews.com
- ➤ Santa Clarita residents will travel downtown on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. to cheer the Los Angeles Kings as they face the Calgary Flames at Crypto.com Arena — the event offers Snoopy Bobblehead giveaways and free skate passes at The Cube for local families. SCVNews.com

- ➤ The Cusumano family donated $1 million to College of the Canyons to create endowed funds — the Diana and Gary Cusumano Culinary Arts Program Fund and a scholarship fund — for students pursuing careers in culinary arts. The donation will rename the iCUE building as the Diana and Gary Cusumano Culinary Arts Building in spring 2026 and will help cover tuition, equipment, and training costs. Hometown Station

- ➤ The Board of Trustees of the William S. Hart Union School District will meet on Nov. 19 in the evening to consider appointing a Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction— a key hire for the district's upcoming projects. SCVNews.com

- ➤ On Nov. 15, the Master’s University women’s volleyball team won its second GSAC tournament title by defeating Ottawa University of Arizona in straight sets (scores were 25 to 14, 25 to 16, and 25 to 21). The team will play in the NAIA tournament opening round on Nov. 22. SCVNews.com
- ➤ High school football in the Santa Clarita Valley had four teams in the playoffs as three lost and the Saugus Centurions won a close game against the Calabasas Coyotes 28-27 on November 14. Saugus will face Apple Valley at 7 p.m. on November 21—keeping local football alive. SCVNews.com
- ➤ Canyon Country AYSO 16U Team 677 had a strong season by winning their league and regional playoffs and advancing to the Bakersfield sectional tournament where they finished fourth. The team will hold an end-of-season celebration in early December and will soon form tournament teams for spring travel competition + aim to combine top players from Canyon Country, Saugus and Newhall. - ➤ Sahya Kitabatake won the 3C2A Individual Championship at Olivas Links on November 9-10—finishing one shot over par—as College of the Canyons placed third in team standings. The Cougars are now competing in the state championship at Alisal River Ranch, which began yesterday and continues today. SCVNews.com
- ➤ Saugus won 28–27 over Calabasas in overtime on Friday night and will play Apple Valley in the semifinals—Ty Hall scored four touchdowns to spark the win.
