- ➤ Today, the California Department of Education released the 2025 assessment results showing Saugus Union School District students scored 68.94% in English Language Arts and 64.35% in Mathematics for grades 3-6, which are improvements over last year and above county averages. - ➤ The Saugus Union School District will hold two special meetings on Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the SUSD office to decide the future of the Santa Clarita Elementary School property, which closed in June 2024 due to safety issues that would have cost $25 million to retrofit—officials will review legal responsibilities and community suggestions such as converting it to a recreation or community center.
