- ➤ On October 6, 2017, 37-year-old Katie Evans, a mother of six, was killed by a drunk driver just a mile from her Santa Clarita home—she was returning from visiting her premature twin daughters at UCLA’s Intensive Care Unit when 21-year-old Alexia Cina, with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit, crashed into her vehicle.
