- ➤ Walmart recalled nearly 400,000 Ozark Trail water bottles for safety concerns after bottle caps detached and caused injuries — the recall involved about 384,000 64-ounce stainless steel bottles sold from April 2023 through March 2024 — and consumers were urged to stop using them and return them for a full refund without a receipt. - ➤ Gold Drum and Bugle Corps performed on Wednesday at Cougar Stadium as part of a nationwide tour stopping in Santa Clarita to celebrate 20 years of the group—7,000 spectators attended and local officials, including Mayor Bill Miranda, presented a commemorative certificate. - ➤ Andre and Renaud Veluzat bought the last 10 acres of Melody Ranch Studio in 1991 and restored the movie ranch that once hosted films and TV shows like Gunsmoke and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood—preserving a key part of local film history. - ➤ The National League of Junior Cotillions announced that Brooke Wanberg was named the new director for the Santa Clarita Chapter, which is enrolling fifth- through eighth-grade youth in a program that teaches good manners, etiquette and social dance.
