Local entertainer Terrell Edwards hosted his fourth Annual Summer Breeze Music Festival at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring national performers and community support - he plans to expand the event into a full-day festival in 2027.
On June 21, 1941, film set builder Ernest Hickson renamed Monogram Ranch as Placeritos Ranch in Placerita Canyon.
The 110 acre site hosted many western films and Sunday visits before later being renamed Melody Ranch by Gene Autry.
