  • California Highway Patrol led a statewide crackdown on organized retail crime from May 26 to 30 that involved over 100 law enforcement agencies — during which the CHP made more than 90 arrests and recovered nearly $153K in stolen merchandise — as part of its effort to stop large-scale theft networks.  Hometown Station

  • On June 21, 1841, Antonio del Valle, a Mexican soldier who administered Mission San Fernando and received a vast land grant that later formed many Santa Clarita communities, died—his military service and personal conflicts marked a complex chapter in local history.
