- ➤ Today, Santa Clarita hosts the SENSES Block Party on Main Street in Old Town Newhall from 7 p.m. — 10 p.m. and a youth production of The Music Man at the Performing Arts Center from today until June 22nd; additional events include a horror-comedy show at The MAIN, a live music and BBQ festival on Saturday at Gilchrist Farm, and ongoing community activities like nature walks and farm visits later this week. - ➤ The Alzheimer’s Association invites community members to a kickoff event at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse in Valencia Town Center—located at 24320 Town Center Drive—from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to begin preparations for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. - ➤ The City of Santa Clarita unveiled its 39th park—Pioneer Oil Refinery Park—yesterday at 22030 Pioneer Way in Newhall, on the historic site where the world’s oldest oil refinery operated from 1876 until 1888. Mayor Bill Miranda said the park features walking trails linking to Newhall Pass Open Space and will soon begin restoring original refinery structures for educational displays. Hometown Station

- ➤ A Santa Clarita man was arrested for DUI and felony weapons charges after a Tuesday evening crash near Bouquet Canyon and Seco Canyon Roads in Saugus — Jose Esparza, 37, was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, and no one was injured. Hometown Station
