  • L.A. County Parks reopened Val Verde Pool at 30300 W. Arlington Road in Castaic on Saturday after finishing extensive repairs to the pool deck and wall that addressed safety issues discovered during lighting upgrades in May 2024. County funds of $580,000 from Measure A, $96,000 in Quimby funds, and $392,000 for lighting helped complete the project—ensuring secure pool access for the community.  Hometown Station
  • Santa Clarita Transit will offer free all-day rides on local and commuter buses on June 19 as part of the 20th annual National Dump the Pump Day, inviting residents and commuters to leave their cars at home.
