- ➤ Golden Valley High School announced Ryan Kaupang as the new head coach of the girls basketball program. Kaupang brought a winning record from previous roles at Quartz Hill and Lakeview Charter and is set to strengthen a team that finished 12-15 and 2-10 in league play. Hometown Station
- ➤ Isaac Hopewell, a graduate of Santa Clarita Christian School and The Master’s University, worked as a stage manager for the Nashville Predators yesterday at Bridgestone Arena. He organized the color guard and in-game activities to apply lessons from his sport management program. Hometown Station
- ➤ College of the Canyons outfielder Reid Farrell signed with Fresno State after a standout season where he led with a .369 average, 11 home runs, and 53 RBIs — earning him All-WSC honors twice and a four-year scholarship offer. SCVNews.com
