Chavira, 21, was fatally injured after falling asleep at the wheel while returning from a double shift when his vehicle crashed with others on San Francisquito Canyon Road on Monday at 3:17 p.m.—he died at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital while four others, including two minors, were treated for injuries.
