Residents visited the 2nd Annual Hart Park Critter Fair on May 17, where alpacas, pigs, dogs, and other animals greeted visitors—vendors from local rescues and pet services also took part.
Families enjoyed barnyard tours, animal presentations, and food trucks — opportunities that let children and parents learn about pet adoption and animal care.
🎭 Culture
The Newhallywood Film Festival will run from May 23 to May 25 in Old Town Newhall at the Newhall Family Theater (24607 Walnut Street) and The MAIN (24266 Main Street), showing silent films that highlight Lon Cheney’s work and Sergei Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin.
The festival will also include live music and guest discussions to honor classic cinema.

California State Parks will offer free Memorial Day admission at 142 park units to military members — including veterans, active and reserve — on Monday, May 26.
