The WiSH Upon a Car Showcase fundraiser is set for Saturday, May 16, from 6-9 p.m. at the Citrus Street parking lot at Valencia Town Center to benefit local students.

Yesterday at the annual KHTS Home and Garden Show, Moms for Liberty raised funds by hosting a 50/50 raffle—selling $5 tickets that helped bring a $400 donation to Santa Clarita Grocery, a nonprofit supporting families with food needs.

College of the Canyons sophomores Hazel Rhodes and Monique Fulling won regional titles at the 3C2A track meet on May 9 while seven Cougars qualified for the state meet (set for Mt. San Antonio College May 15-16).

Master's University men and women's track teams raced at the elite APU Franson Last Chance meet on May 8 + 9 in Azusa, giving NAIA Nationals qualifiers a chance to hit their qualifying marks.

Seven local baseball teams begin CIF-SS playoffs this week with games scheduled Thursday and Friday; West Ranch hosts Warren on Friday at 3:15 p.m., while Castaic, Saugus, Valencia, Trinity, Santa Clarita Christian, and Golden Valley also face matchups across the valley (times and venues vary).
