- ➤ On May 8, 2025 the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified Brandon Moore, 39, from Pasadena as the motorcyclist who died when his motorcycle hit a vehicle involved in another crash on the westbound 210 Freeway at Yarnell Street in Sylmar. Hometown Station
- ➤ A half-acre brush fire was reported on May 8 at 1:54 p.m. near Bridgeport Elementary School in the wash by the Santa Clara River—and firefighters along with deputies quickly responded although no evacuation orders were given. The Santa Clarita Valley Signal
