- ➤ On May 3, 1969, CalArts broke ground on its then-planned Valencia campus, paving the way for its rise as a leading arts institution. Local trustees and representatives from Newhall Land and Farm Co. gathered to support the planned community's development. Hometown Station
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On May 3, 2026, Golden Valley High School's AFJROTC unit scored 100% and earned an 'Exceeds Standards' rating in its annual inspection. The unit of 108 cadets from Golden Valley, Hart, and Canyon impressed evaluators with zero discrepancies under Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Juan Gherardy and Master Sergeant (Ret) Winston Cagadas.
