Arrests in Santa Clarita dropped nearly in half over the weekend as 16 people were booked compared to 30 the previous week—12 for misdemeanors and 4 for felonies, with most charges linked to drug and alcohol offenses.

Santa Clarita Symphony Orchestra will perform 'The Romantic Symphony' on May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center to bring an evening of passion, power and farewell in classical music.

Dan Watson, the last of 10 Watson family photographers, began his career with a Kodak Brownie and school photo projects before joining The Signal in Santa Clarita in 1998.

State Senator Suzette Valladares from Santa Clarita said her bill to exempt tips from taxes passed unanimously out of the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee on Monday.

Master’s University men’s track team won the GSAC championship on April 25 in Aliso Viejo — the team edged Arizona Christian University by 13 points over two days.

The women finished second and senior Hannah Fredericks won races in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m and 10000m while Caleb Pouliot was named Overall Athlete of the Year.
