- ➤ The Saugus Union School District will host two chats today, one at the district office at 10 a.m. and one at West Creek Academy at 6:30 p.m., to introduce new superintendent Robert Hernandez (from Texas), who was unanimously approved and will start on July 1. The Santa Clarita Valley Signal

- ➤ On Wednesday night, the Hart Board meeting in Santa Clarita honored community leaders and celebrated student success. The board awarded Brandon Barclay the One Hart Award for his leadership and recognized Angela Bennett for nearly 30 years of service while sharing district updates on school performance. - ➤ At its April 14 meeting, Santa Clarita City Council recognized National Volunteer Month and honored high school volunteers who earned the Civic Service Impact Award — a nod to their service — along with Junior Chamber International members.
