Feature Films at the Moonlight Academy

About this event

The Moonlight Store in Hollywood invites you to our Friday Night Film Screening , a recurring weekly gathering designed as a cultural hub of esoteric activity and a community entry experience for seekers across Los Angeles.

Each week, we part the velvet curtain to explore the intersection of cinema and the occult.

We cycle through historical and modern depictions of magic and witchcraft in film , highlighting new filmmakers, documentarians, and experimental cinema .

These screenings are more than entertainment; they are a space for critical dialogue.

Every screening fosters rigorous conversation centered on film studies and the Bechdel test , challenging us to analyze how the craft is portrayed on screen and how we can integrate these observations into our personal magical practices .

Whether you are a curious newcomer looking for your Los Angeles community or a student enrolled at the Moonlight Academy looking to deepen your esoteric learning, our doors are open to you.

• When: Every Friday Evening

• Where: The Moonlight Store, Hollywood, CA

• Admission: Donation-Based (Intended to support local filmmakers and build community)

Come for the film, stay for the critical discourse, and find your place among kin.
