BILLY T & THE FAM is a Los Angeles-based quartet blending soul, jazz, and funk into an infectious, feel-good groove that moves bodies and lifts spirits.

In 2020, amid the isolating haze of the pandemic, when the world craved connection and a spark of normalcy, four musicians—led by powerhouse saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader Bill Todd (Billy T)—broke the silence. They gathered on Main Street in Santa Monica for an impromptu jam, simply to play music and share some joy. Word spread fast: locals discovered their soulful, hard-hitting style, and soon crowds gathered, drawn to the positivity and togetherness the music provided during

dark times. What started as street-side sessions quickly grew into regular outdoor performances by the beach, entertaining thousands multiple times a week. This period forged the band's signature sound—a deep, community-rooted fusion of jazz, soul, and funk that became a literal "watering hole" of life and connection. Sensing the impact, they doubled down, and BILLY T & THE FAM was officially born.

Over the following years, the band's ranks expanded to include a rotating cast of more than 30 elite musicians from around the globe. Core collaborators like Nadav Peled (guitar), Eric England (bass), and Mario Montes (drums) helped solidify the tight, electrifying quartet that defines them today. As the world reopened, the energy cultivated during those tough times evolved into something even more sophisticated and captivating. Since 2023, the band has found a perfect new home with their

ongoing Thursday night residency at the iconic Dresden Restaurant & Lounge in Los Feliz—a historic venue steeped in Old Hollywood soul that matches their flair perfectly. They rip through originals like "Baseline High," reimagined classics (Grover Washington Jr.'s "Mr. Magic," Stylistics vibes, and more), and keep the room alive with heart-string-pulling grooves that are equal parts classic and contemporary.
