Join artist and Eaton Fire survivor Alma Cielo to create a piece of the 1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic, a living public artwork made with ceramic and glass salvaged from homes lost in the Eaton Fire. Learn how to create a beautiful tile and add your voice to this growing community archive.

About the Project

1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic is a community-created public art project and living archive in Altadena, California. Led by artist and Eaton Fire survivor Alma Cielo in collaboration with the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Artists at Work Program, the project transforms ceramic fragments and glass salvaged from homes destroyed during the January 2025 Eaton Fires into a large-scale memorial mosaic.
