About this event
What happens when a Minimoog takes center stage in a concerto? British composer and electronic music performer Gabriel Prokofiev brings his answer to UCLA following the U.S. premiere of his Concerto for Minimoog Synthesizer and Orchestra .
Prokofiev will be joined by Shapiro Professor of Piano Inna Faliks and Professor Robert Fink , musicologist and chair of the Music Industry Program, for an insightful panel conversation, a live Minimoog synthesizer demonstration, and an interactive audience Q&A exploring the intersection of classical tradition, electronic performance, and contemporary music culture.
