Aerial Silks 102

Aerial Silks/Fabric 102- Have fun taking the strength and inverted body knowledge learned in our Aerial 101 classes higher up in the Air! Students will expand their aerial silks vocabulary by learning a variety of locks, drops, and climbs while developing greater control and confidence in the air. Emphasis is placed on understanding how to safely wrap, support, and move the body through the fabric as skills become more dynamic. Have fun discovering how this simple yet versatile apparatus can be manipulated to create movement that is poetic and powerful. Emphasis is placed on correct body alignment to ensure each bodies safety along with building more shoulder and core strength. Prerequisites: Graduation from Aerial 101 or have previous experience. Confidence and proficiency in the following skills: Separated Fabric - Arrow, Splits & Birds Nest. Single- and Double-Foot Locks, Candy Cane, and Catchers Lock. Students should be able to climb to the top twice consecutively. Hip Key may still be in progress. Single Class:$35 or Class Package For Ages 14 and Up
