Art Lab

About this event

Art Lab at the Hammer Museum in Westwood invites visitors of every age to roll up their sleeves and make something. On select Saturday afternoons, Hammer educators set up hands-on creative activities inspired by the artworks currently on view, giving families a playful way to connect what they see in the galleries with their own art making.

No experience is needed, and the activities welcome any skill level, from toddlers making their first marks to teens and adults trying a new technique. It is a relaxed, drop-in program, so your family can pop in after exploring the galleries or make it the main event of the afternoon.

Both museum admission and Art Lab are free, and no ticket is required. Children must stay with a guardian at all times. The program can change, so it is smart to check the Hammer's public programs calendar before heading out.
